What are the characteristics of polyaluminum chloride in wastewater treatment applications?
Polyaluminum chloride has a wide range of applications and is compatible with a wide range of water properties. It quickly forms large flocs and has excellent settling properties. Polyacrylamide molecules can form bridges and adsorb to suspended particles dispersed in the solution, resulting in a strong flocculation effect. Using the two together can achieve twice the result with half the effort. The correct combination of polyaluminum chloride and polyacrylamide is as follows:
Main Characteristics of Polyaluminum Chloride
Compared to other coagulants, polyaluminum chloride offers the following advantages: a wide range of applications and compatibility with a wide range of water properties. It quickly forms large flocs and has excellent settling properties. It has a wide pH range (5-9), and the pH and alkalinity of the treated water drop minimally. It maintains stable settling properties even at low water temperatures. Its alkalinity is higher than that of other aluminum and iron salts, resulting in less corrosion to equipment.
Physical and Chemical Properties: This product is an inorganic polymer coagulant. It primarily works through mechanisms such as a compressed double layer, adsorption and electrical neutralization, adsorption bridging, and sediment trapping to destabilize fine suspended particles and colloidal ions in the water, leading to aggregation, flocculation, coagulation, and precipitation, achieving a purification effect.

How to Use:
1. Dissolve solid polyaluminum chloride in water at a ratio of 1:3 to form a liquid. Then dilute with 10-30 times the amount of clean water to the desired concentration before use.
2. The optimal dosage can be determined based on the turbidity of the raw water. For raw water with a turbidity of 100-500 mg/L, the dosage is 10-20 kg per 1,000 tons.
Main Applications: Urban water supply and drainage purification: river water, reservoir water, open water; industrial Water Purification; municipal sewage treatment; recovery of useful substances from industrial wastewater and waste residues; promoting the sedimentation of coal dust in coal washing wastewater; starch recovery in starch manufacturing; various industrial wastewater treatment: printing and dyeing wastewater, leather wastewater, fluoride-containing wastewater, heavy metal wastewater, oil-containing wastewater, papermaking wastewater, coal washing wastewater, mining wastewater, brewing wastewater, metallurgical wastewater, meat processing wastewater; sewage treatment; papermaking auxiliaries, cloth reinforcement, catalyst carriers, pharmaceutical refining, cement rapid setting, cosmetic raw materials, etc.
Packaging and Storage
1. Packed in a plastic bag lined with an outer plastic film woven bag. Each bag weighs 25kg.
2. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from sunlight and rain.
